The Military Community Network – BC (MCN-BC) Web site is committed to providing its users with access to services on-line as a data exchange tool. Information provided is intended to allow immediate access to services helpful to its users while maintaining the highest in internet standards. While every attempt has been made to ensure the information contained herein is valid and accurate at the time of posting, the MCN-BC reserves the right to make changes, corrections and/or improvements at any time and without notice. In addition, MCN-BC disclaims any and all liability for damages incurred directly or indirectly as a result of errors, omissions or discrepancies.
Linking to the MCN-BC Web site is permitted under limited conditions. If you link to this site, you may not portray any person or subject in a false or misleading light. You may also not imply that MCN-BC is endorsing your product or services.
MCN-BC provides links to other organizations through this site. These links are provided in the hope that users will find reference material and that establishing these external links will be consistent with assisting or furthering the purpose of this site, which is to improve the assistance level for the military community. In providing these links MCN-BC does not necessarily endorse the content, products, services or viewpoints expressed by these external sites. MCN-BC will strive to monitor all links to external sites to ensure that they are still active and continue to provide the information as intended when linked. However, the user specifically acknowledges that the county is not liable for any defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of other users, links or third parties and that the risk rests entirely with the user.
The resources contained in the MCN-BC Web site must support the program’s mission to provide integrated continuity of assistance resources for the military community (service members, veterans and their families). To be included:
- MCN-BC has standardized criteria for organizations, agencies and programs to participate, ensuring that they address the needs of the military community.
- The organizations, agencies and programs are reviewed on an annual basis or more frequently if necessary, making sure that the goals of MCN-BC are still applicable.
- No product endorsements or preferential treatment is given to any organization, agency or program listed on the MCN-BC Web site.
- No payment of any kind is accepted to in exchange for having a link placed on the MCN-BC Web site.
- The MCN-BC does not provide information on, or referrals to, any organization, agency or program that exhibits hate, bias or discrimination; shares personally identifying information with third parties without consent; or sells, rents, loans or transfers information to unrelated third parties.
The MCNB-BC reserves the right to deny or remove resources sole discretion of the MCN-BC, including those which provide misleading information, unsubstantiated claims, conflicts with the MCN-BC mission, or violates any policy.
When a request to a link is received, the site will be reviewed to determine if it is consistent with the MCN-BC mission and adopted criteria. The requesting organization will then be notified of the MCN-BC’s decision regarding the requested link.
All organizations, agencies and programs must meet the following criteria:
- Be relevant, useful and authoritative for the military community.
- Be consistent with the government’s privacy and security policies for the privacy of personal information.
- Be any organization (Government, Charity, Educational, Faith Based, Other Not for Profit or Other Entities) that offer services and /or support to service members, veterans and their families.
- Be accessible to the military community.
